This webinar will feature Terra Wiens of the Violence Policy Center, author of the Gun Deaths in Wisconsin and Nick Matuszewski of the Wisconsin Anti-Violence Project who will discuss the incidence of gun violence in Wisconsin under the current laws. Aurielle Smith, Public Health Madison & Dane County Director of Policy, Planning & Evaluation Division will discuss how viewing gun violence as a public health threat influences what is seen as effective action to address the problem. Then, Lindsey Buscher of Moms Demand Action will cover what steps can be taken to help decrease the incidences of gun violence.
